(Metro photo) BROOKINGS – The Lanes in Brookings hosted the South Dakota State USBC (United States Bowling Congress) Women’s Championship on April 21-23. There were 532 total bowlers and some of them were from the area.
Samantha Lone was the top finisher from Brookings in the singles division as she shot a total 770. Michelle Brownwell of the Northern Hills USBC came in first and she shot an 817. Kathryn Culbert of Mitchell came in second (783) and Lori Smart of Salem came in third (779).
