Needville’s undefeated run through the Little League World Series ended with a 6-1 loss to a team from El Segundo, Calif., in front of 28,791 fans at the United States championship game Saturday at Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pa.

Needville, which was the first Houston-area team to make it to the U.S. title game since Pearland West did it in 2015 , will play Chinese Taipei in the tournament’s third-place game at 10 a.m. Sunday (ESPN). California faces Curaçao for the championship at 2:30 (ABC).
