Reno named fastest-warming city in the United States from Climate Center

Reno-Tahoe International Airport The City of Reno has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and US Forest Service as part of the federal government’s effort to plant and maintain trees, combat extreme heat, and improve access to nature in cities across the nation.

From 842 applications, the Forest Service selected 385 grant proposals, totaling $1 billion.
