RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — The third tropical depression of the Atlantic Hurricane Season strengthened into Tropical Storm Bret on Monday afternoon.
At 5 p.m., TS Bret had sustained winds of 40 mph and was moving west at 21 mph.
The National Hurricane Center expects the storm to move into the Lesser Antilles and the islands of the Caribbean Sea toward the end of the week.The storm could be at hurricane strength when it arrives at the islands.
