This signing marks the resumption of the commitments of the action plan subscribed in the MOU to strengthen partnership and collaboration in activities to promote the formalization of small-scale mining, with emphasis on gold mining, as well as to combat illegal gold mining and related crimes. The United States of America and the Republic of Peru signed the 2023-2024 action plan of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Cooperation Related to Small-Scale Gold Mining.
