Captain Max Morgan aboard the Neeskay research vessel. I met Maxwell Martin Morgan within Milwaukee’s harbor district. We stood inside UWM’s School of Freshwater Sciences, looking out giant doors onto the research vessel, the Neeskay , moored just outside. Max Morgan (right) prepares to deploy instrument during his time working aboard the EPA’s Lake Guardian. Morgan, known by most everybody as “Captain,” recalled when he first laid eyes on the Neeskay. “I worked on the Lake Guardian, which docks over there. I started there in 2011,” he said.
